Australian Cabbage Tree Palm Livistona australis
Indoor or patio, outdoor - prefers semi-shade, 15-30m.

Canary Island Date Palm Phoenix Canariensis
Landscape plant (needs space) most soils, best in good sunlight, lowest leaflets have stiff, sharp spines.

Cardboard Plant (Cycad) Zamia Furfuracea
Develops under ground to short stems to form a clump later. Arching leaves bearing still almost oval leathery blue-green leaflets to 400mm. Grows to 1m Indoors - hardy in good natural indirect light. Keep moist to dry. Outdoors - plant in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil. Frost tolerant to -2 degrees and coastal tolerant.

Chinese Windmill (Chusan Palm) Trachycarpus fortunei
A wonderful summer flowering fan leaf palm. This is one of the hardiest and easiest palms to grow. Slow growing palm with solid, fibre covered trunk. Tolerates cold and frosts. Our Windmill palms are mostly grown in the field. Grows to 10m. From China.

Dragon Tree Dracaena draco
An evergreen tree with a smooth grey trunk, slow growing to 9m, magnificent for general gaden planting, ideal containers when young, tough and sculptural, similar to Yuccas.

Dwarf (Pigmy) Date Palm Phoenix Roebelenii
Attractive dwarf palm, hardy for landscaping, well lit position indoors when young, or sheltered in the open garden, thrives on neglect, to 2.5m.

Furcraea Longaeva (Agave)
A very architectural succulent resembling a large soft Yucca with grey/green sword-shaped leaves. A white flower spike is produced on mature plants in summer. In fact this plant holds the record for the largest spike ever recorded on a plant, with one specimen having measured at an astonishing 13 meters in height (40 feet). After flowering the main plant dies out however the stem produces many new baby plants. Plant in full sun in a well-drained soil. Protect from hard frost. Height and spread to about 1.5m. Very popular. Outdoors - so versatile and hardy salt tolerant. Frost tolerant to -3 degrees or perfect indoors, for conservatory, patio. Easy care. Lord Howe Island.

Elegant feather palm is suitable indoors or out. Grows well in pots if kept well watered. Underside of the leaf is silvery colour.

Majestic Palm Ravenea rivularis
A graceful fast-growing Madagascan palm growing 3-5m in 5 years and ultimately 10-20m, prefers sunny site with protection from frosts and cold winds, excellent in large tubs or mass planting. May start well indoors but in time requires plenty of sunlight.

Mexican Fan Palm Washingtonia Robusta
Magnificent large green fan leaves with cottony threads but the stems have large thorns. A very hardy and fast-growing fan palm suitable for any landscape design, will tolerate wind and coastal conditions. This is a fast grower which needs space to develop. Keep well watered.

Ponytail Palm Beaucarnea Recurvata
Succulent-like member of the lily family with swollen base & spray of foliage similar to a ponytail. Indoors, patio & conservatory in bright light to semi shade position, moist to dry soil. Outdoors, full sun tolerant, moist to dry soil. Hardy. Frost tolerant to -4 degrees, drought tolerant. A beautiful miniature feature 1-2m. From Mexico.
